The GRASSI – a place of encounters
Discover the GRASSICultural Complex
Humanistic – Open to the World
The GRASSI is a museum quarter in the heart of Leipzig, uniting three museums with diverse themes in one location: art, design, world cultures, music, and instruments. Together, as "Museums at GRASSI," we host various major events, such as the Open Day and the GRASSIFEST, designed for the whole family.
The building complex, constructed in the Art Deco style between 1925 and 1929, features inner courtyards and the adjacent park-like Old Johannis Cemetery, creating a unique cultural attraction as well as a place of peace and relaxation on the eastern edge of the city center. The site owes its name to the patron Franz Dominic Grassi.
