Arrival
In this video you will find a detailed description of how to get to the Grassimuseum (only in German):
Two car parks for visitors with disabilities are located on the east side of the museum (on Täubchenweg). From there, you can reach the museum entrance at ground level via the courtyard.
The floor consists of granite slabs and small granite stones (pedestrian area outside the museum), the inner courtyard is laid with irregular natural stone slabs. To the right of the visitor entrance (staircase) is a lift leading to the ticket office foyer. The museum and all exhibition rooms can be reached via lifts
Facilities
There is a disabled toilet in both the ticket office foyer and the café foyer opposite. Wheelchairs can be borrowed and electric wheelchairs can be charged in the foyer. Seating is available in all exhibition rooms, in the foyers, entrance areas, inner courtyards and the deer garden.
Changing tables for toddlers and footstools for the younger ones are available in the disabled toilets.
Please do not hesitate to contact our ticket office and supervisory staff. Seating is available in all exhibition rooms. Mobile seating is available for group tours.

Blind and visually impaired people
A visitor brochure about the Museum of Ethnography is available at the ticket desk. It provides information about the service areas and exhibitions in large print, Braille and plain language. Furthermore, it contains tactile maps of all three floors of the museum with important orientation points.
The Museum of Applied Arts offers a media guide for blind and visually impaired visitors to accompany them through the permanent exhibition. Touch brochures in large print and Braille also provide orientation in the foyers and in the Antique to Historicism exhibition. The media guide and the brochures can be borrowed free of charge from the ticket counter.
Plain language
For museum visitors with limited German language skills, learning difficulties or dementia, the Museum of Applied Arts offers a media guide in plain language.
